Follow the Care Label: Use the recommended water temp and wash cycle. Never dry clean.

Wash Colours Separately: Especially deep or bright shades to avoid colour bleeding.

Avoid Optical Brightening Agents (OBA’s): Most commercial detergents have OBAs that keep whites bright but fade colours, especially light ones. Choose OBA-free detergents and wash towels separately.

No Bleach or Chlorine: These damage fibres and cause discolouration.

Don’t Over or Underload: Follow detergent guidelines—too much detergent causes discolouration and fibre wear.

Use Fabric Softener Sparingly: Overuse saturates fibres, reducing absorbency and causing greasy feel. It can also lead to pulled threads.

Keep Temperatures Low: High heat causes shrinkage and harsh texture. Tumble dry to keep towels fluffy; avoid flatwork ironers that flatten the pile.

Handle Pulled Threads Properly: Simply snip off with scissors—towels won’t unravel.

Colour Variation is Normal: Slight batch-to-batch dye differences happen and won’t usually be noticeable.

Protect Colours: Wash below 60°C and rinse pool towels ASAP to prevent chlorine damage.

Quick Tip: If towels contact harsh bathroom cleaners, rinse affected spots with cold water immediately before washing. Vinegar can also help neutralize bleach effects.
  1. Always wash new towels before first use.
  2. Add ½ to 1 cup of white vinegar in the first wash to set dyes and boost colourfastness.
  3. Use about half the usual amount of detergent—less is more!
  4. Avoid bleach completely.
  5. Never use fabric softener on the first wash—it reduces absorbency and encourages pulled threads.
Simple steps to keep your new towels soft, vibrant, and long-lasting!
Many detergents and pre-wash treatments contain bleach compounds—even if not clearly labelled.

Watch out for these chemicals:
  • Sodium Percarbonate
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Sodium Carbonate
  • Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate
  • Sodium Hypochlorite
While these help remove stains, Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Hydroxide can degrade cotton fibers and shorten your product’s lifespan.

For best results, consult your chemical supplier or laundry system designer to choose safe, fibre-friendly options.
